Description: A fantastic specimen of bright red, lustrous vanadinite crystals sprinkled and stacked on a whitish matrix. The vanadinite crystals are gemmy and the specimen is an excellent example of the earlier material from the ACF mine. This specimen is in excellent condition. This specimen was originally acquired at the Greater Detroit Gem and Mineral Show in October 1974. The ACF mine workings are a series of tunnels dug in search of specimens of what are arguably the best vanadinite specimens in the world. Artisan miners have tunneled from the original ACF mine shafts.
