Description: Many shiny, jet-black fairly well-formed dravite crystals on matrix from a famous, old location. The dravite crystals are accompanied by Phenakite and/or Quartz crystals. The dravites from this locality look a lot like schorl, although they are brown in thin slivers. The specimen is in excellent condition and presents well. The Tait Farm is located south of Bancroft, Ontario and features a relatively homogeneous, white, graphic K-feldspar and quartz-bearing pegmatite (with some hornblende and mica) containing abundant tourmaline.
