Description: This superb specimen features numerous botryoidal growths of a dark green hue, with bright luster. Malachite can be found in copper deposits around the world, but the Katanga Copper Crescent in the Democratic Republic of The Congo is the primary source for superb mineral specimens. Malachite has been prized since ancient times, first as a utilitarian copper ore, then as an ornamental stone and currently as high-quality mineral specimens.
